The application of tilt sensors
With a device measuring the inclination of heavy-duty machinery, you can keep track of the exploitation of your business equipment with ease. Tilt sensors calculate the angle at which the relevant part of the machinery is being tilted. For example, tilt sensors can be installed in an excavator’s dipper arm to get reports on the movements of the dipper, its frequency, time spent working or idling.
Tilt sensors are sometimes called inclinometers and vice versa. The sensors measure a change in angle or position relative to the earth’s surface. They can also be used to measure the angular position of parts and mechanisms, i.e. their rotation. That would include a concrete mixer machine as an example.
Construction industry and facility services are the main application areas of inclinometer sensors. Concrete mixers, dump trucks, trash trucks, plow trucks and graders, harvesters, all of them most probably have an angle sensor installed.
Tilt sensors features
Tilt sensors feature high precision and reliability, broad measurement range from 0.05° to 360°, prolonged exploitation, durability, and wireless design. All that makes them a practical solution for business needs. No matter the conditions, you can rely on the sensor to provide accurate information and uninterrupted work.
